BTU proudly presents Power Pedal 2010 on Saturday October 2 at Lake Bryan, Texas. This year BTU will be offering 3 events: 5k trail run; 10 trail run; and a trail Bike/Run duathlon. The duathlon will consist of an 8.5 mile trail ride transitioning to a 5k trail run. Each event will offer cash prizes, awards and post race raffle.
Chip timing will be provided by Cadence Sports.
If you do not wear a chip, you will not be timed and therefore will not be included in any results. All chips must be surrendered at the finish line.
Trail Duathlon:
$100 Cash prize to overall individual Male and Female finishers
You must have a mountain bike and helmet when riding the 8.5 mile west trail loop for the duathlon. The trail course is single track. The second half of the duathlon consists of a 5k trail run. This 5k is the same course as the 5k trail run map listed.
5k Trail Run:
$50 Cash prize to overall male and female finishers
10k Trail Run:
$75 cash prize to overall male and female finishers
Registration:
***Early Registration ends Monday September 20th at 4 pm***
Sign up during early registration to save yourself $5-$10 and be guaranteed a T-Shirt.
Registration Fee includes: park entry, land use fee, food/drinks, prizes and awards, post race raffle, and a guaranteed t shirt for early registrants
Race Day Registration:
6:30 am – 7 am Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the registration tent at Lake Bryan next to start/finish area.
Packet Pick Up:
9 am – 5 pm Friday, October 1, 2010 at the main office of Bryan Texas Utilities located at 205 E 28th St Bryan, Texas 77802. Come in the front entrance and see the secretary to the right.
You can also pick up your packet the morning of October 2 at race site beginning at 7 am.

Directions:
Starting line for the race will be inside the park by next to the stage. To get there; enter into Lake Bryan at 8200 Sandy Point Rd Bryan Texas 77807. Go thru the main entrance, straight over the bridge and veer to the left. After coming around the curve, head straight towards the stage which will be in front of you. Please park to the right inside the grass/dirt area. Then go towards the tents to check in and get your race packet.
Invitation and Information:
BTU invites you to not only come out and participate in Power Pedal 2010, but also make a day out of your trip to Lake Bryan. Bring the fishing poles, kayak or volley ball. Plan to eat lunch at Lake Bryan’s Ice House Bar/Grill Restaurant. You can even visit www.lakebryan.com to reserve your campsite for the weekend. Whether you are participating or out to support a contestant with pictures and water distribution, enjoy your visit to Lake Bryan.
